LOAFER // LOVE
Showing loafers some love today! // Loafers, along with a chic slide, will be my shoes of choice this spring. They are versatile and classic – and not to mention practical – for a city dweller like me. Gucci makes a mean loafer, but it comes with a heafty price tag, so I decided to find some more affordable options, each with its own take on the classic silhouette.
ONE // This first loafer is quite classic in detailing, but the elongated, more pointed toe gives it the perfect touch of femininity. I have not purchased these exact loafers (yet!), but I do own this pair of Everlane loafers, and they happen to be one of the most comfortable pair of flats that I own. The shiny finish on a smooth leather is a touch that affords to be paired back to casual denim or with your favorite mini dress. Shop them here.
TWO // This J.Crew option in a beautiful suede is the perfect spring loafer. I bought them in powder blue and have recently worn them both with these jeans and this top. Suede can be tricky, especially if you are as hard on shoes as I am, but so far I found this pair to be extremely durable and easy to clean. Shop them here.
THREE // Perfectly pink, these beauties just landed on my doorstep, and I can’t wait to wear them (hopefully posting later this week with this sweater). This silhouette stays quite close to the original loafer design, dating back to 1930, and is offered in patent leather in the most beautiful array of colors. Outside of the pink, I also love the sky blue and especially the deep green, a perfect transition color this time of year. Shop them here.
FOUR // For the girl looking for something much more feminine and fashion forward I love this suede option. The pointy toe, lack of split strap and shortened tongue make these the perfect ladylike loafer. This style currently only comes in four colors, but keep an eye out as I have found M.Gemi will release new colors throughout the season of their best selling shoes! Shop them here.
FIVE // I am a sucker for a lug sole, especially in white, and perforated leather, so of course these more fashion-forward loafers caught my eye. Offered in white, with the touch of cork, these shoes will be the perfect way to toughen up a sweet, white, spring dress. Shop them here.
SIX // Madewell keeps things simple, streamlined styling, quality materials, and easy to transition pieces. I love how they have combined extremely classic styling with a more unexpected, yet wearable color. I haven’t picked up these loafers, but the more I envision how adorable they would look back to my recently purchased overalls with a classic stripe tee, the more I think I need them. Shop them here.
