This week, as I am going through all my favorite summer accessories, I couldn’t help but round up all of my favorite past summer hat looks, as well share my current favorite shoppable lids! I love everything from a short brimmed boater hat, to a dramatic wide brimmed beach hat, to more unexpected colors and silhouettes. I am always on the hut for a summer hat with a great stripe (as seen here) or fun color (as seen here)! A new hat can be the perfect accessory  for your summer wardrobe, giving you relief from the sun, while being the focal point of your warm weather look. Check out all my current favorites below by category. You can also revisit any of the original posts by clicking on each image above!

Kicking off Summer Accessories Week with a look at round bags. I am excited that one of my favorite accessory trends continues into the Summer season! Over the past few seasons, I have enjoyed wearing round bags (seen here, here, and here) as the perfect alternative to more traditional tote or satchel shaped bags. The circular shape gives off a retro feel, and this season, I am seeing so many round bags updated in summer colors and fabrics, making them more playful (and less serious) than their counterparts. See ten of my round bag picks for Summer below, along with styling tips for wearing each!

one // This gorgeous oversized straw bag is offered in a few colors, but the green option stands apart. I would use this as a beach bag and wear it with slides, a one piece, and cover up!

two // A smaller leather crossbody that has a top zip for ease of use? Yes please! This beauty would look fab with a crop top and culotte pants.

three // An easy skirt and flats is all it takes to match back to this beautiful bag. The removable strap is a great feature as well should you prefer to carry it by the top handles instead.

four // This pink stunner would look so chic back an all pink look. I wore this look in Savannah a few months ago!

five // The circle tote that started it all! This gorgeous red hue is perfect with your Summer whites for the fourth of July party circuit.

six // A total steal at just $25, this round bag is offered in both a natural brown and black. I would keep it simple and wear this with a striped tee and boyfriend jeans.

seven // This wicker stunner features a suede liner, a perfect piece for a casual summer night out in an off-the-shoulder linen dress.

eight // I love the twill ribbon detailing on this handwoven number. This round bag would look summer chic with a white dress and slides.

nine // This suede bag with mixed material details will transition well from Summer into Fall. It would look gorgeous with a floral dress in Summer and a military jacket in Fall.

ten // The croc-embossed pattern on this circle tote gives it a more dressy feel. Perfect for summer wedding attire.

Concluding summer dress week with a look at lace and eyelet dresses! I’ve always been attracted to the elegance and preciousness of lace and eyelet patterns, particularly when they are cut in more fashion forward silhouettes. You can take a look at a few of my past lace and eyelet dress looks here, here, and here, as well as check out today’s look here. As you can see, the silhouettes are quite varied, having worn everything from a lace jumpsuit, to a long-sleeved eyelet midi dress, to a lace trench over a white eyelet dress! Today’s post features a summer-ready flared mini dress with a wildflower print over a beautiful leaf pattern crochet. I tend to favor update silhouettes in lace and eyelet so the dresses don’t feel outdated or wander into the costume zone. I love to add simple, neutral, and on trend accessories (like a straw hat or wide belt) to keep my looks updated but not overly busy. I like to keep the focus and attention on the pattern of the dress. Finally, I adore playing with color in lace and eyelet. Whites will always be the most classic, but softer pastel colors, or more vibrant greens and blue shades, can add so much interest while still allowing for classic accessory tones. Below are seven of my favorite new finds – I hope you can add room in your closet for a lace and/or eyelet dress this season!

Dress week continues!  Today’s outfit post featured an adorable tie front dress and over here on edit & etc. it is all about ruffles, bows and tie front details.  Ruffles and bows create the perfect feminine touch to any summer frock. Effortless, yet elegant, these flirty elements create interest even in the simplest of dresses. I have always had a penchant for ruffles and bows as seen here, here and here and with so many innovative silhouettes this summer I find myself buying more and more. Below you will find these touches in everything from maxi dresses to mini dresses, florals to polka dots and much more!
