SUMMER DRESS WEEK // FLORALS

With summer officially starting this week, what better time to kick off a weekly summer series highlighting all of my favorite seasonal items! This week I will be focusing entirely on dresses, showcasing a new look on the site each day as well as featuring a corresponding write up on the ‘Edit & Etc.’ section of the site. Today’s theme is florals, and starts with a shoot in central park, as well as my newest picks from three of my go-to retailers. I have always had a love affair with a great floral dress (as seen here, here, and here). When the weather gets warm, I often gravitate to more simple dress shapes and favor florals as the print alone can really elevate the silhouette. Depending on my mood, or the dressing occasion, I often play with print proportions. I wear everything from sweet small-scale floral prints to exploded oversized prints, and find that smaller prints can be more formal while larger prints can be more fun.
