SUMMER DRESS WEEK // STRIPED DRESSES
Today is officially the first day of summer! With the third chapter of summer dress week I am focusing on everything stripe. When it comes to striped dresses, I adore almost all stripe layouts, fabrics, and silhouettes. From an easy cotton tank dress, to a tiered linen maxi, to a more elevated deconstructed shirt dress in silk, the more stripe dresses, the better! You can click over to a few of my more recent posts featuring striped dresses – in a kimono sleeved linen striped number here, a belted silk piece here, and a more simple weekend wear option here, not to mention today’s corresponding striped dress post! I am breaking down my favorite striped dress picks by price point, as well as highlighting how I would style my favorite in each price bucket. No matter your dress budget for stripes this summer, there are gorgeous options!

My favorite under $100 striped dress: number two. I love the femininity of the midi length, the belt, and the voluminous sleeve detail. I would wear this off-the-shoulder striped cotton dress with simple slides and my favorite mid-size basket bag.

My favorite under $200 striped dress: number two. The stripe mixing initially caught my eye, but the tie waist puts it over the top. I would style this cotton/wool mix dress with block heeled sandals and an elegant straw hat.

My favorite under $500 striped dress: number four. I’ve always been a sucker for a bowed sleeve (as seen here and here) so of course this one-shoulder striped dress in seersucker is a standout. In terms of styling, I would let the dress do the talking and pair it with minimal sneakers and a simple clutch.

My favorite over $500 striped dress: number four. This striped Tibi dress is cut in the same silhouette as one of my favorite dresses currently in my closet (seen here). The crossed elastic back straps make this dress the ultimate in comfort but also quite unique. I bought this dress and having been wearing it with platform espadrilles for a more modern look.
