A perfect parka is always on the top of my list once the cool weather hits the east coast. Unbelievably warm, timelessly fashionable, and amazingly versatile, what more could you need in a piece of cold weather outerwear? While olives, grays, and blacks are always the logical choices (my favorite parka of all time is this olive wool number from BODEN), I am loving all the bright colored and fashion forward options that are available this season from many of my go-to retailers.

ASOS always has a great selection on parkas, particularly if you are looking for more fashion-forward styling, and this fall, they are stepping out on the updated details. From oversized silhouettes, to buckled funnel necks, to bright contrast faux-fur linings, there are so many options to consider. Best of all, the four ASOS numbers above are all well under $200!

On a more classic and preppy vibe, J.Crew has an adorable wool-blend parka style – the fabric taking inspiration from old-school stadium blankets – that is offered in an array of eight different colors! There are basics, brights, and heathers available in this beauty! If you are looking for more of an all-weather option, their gorgeous pink parka is a wonderfully versatile option given its nylon fabrication and detachable hood. Finally, at just $99, H&M nails the military-inspired khaki green padded parka, which is equally acceptable to wear with a casual dress and boots for a date with friends as it is with leggings and a tunic to run errands. You can pretty much wear this classic piece with anything. Also, check out the beautiful dark, emerald green option that is available back to a black faux fur-trimmed hood.
