NOTEPAD No. 26

THROWBACK //

While I am typically more of a dresses and skirts kind of girl, I simply had to have this red bow jumpsuit!  It is the perfect modern meets feminine piece. This post was from June of 2016.

Question: What are some of your favorite quality bags priced under $200? Specifically, I am looking for something that I can wear to work as well as can carry on the weekends.

Answer: Cuyana has been a brand that I have trusted for quite some time, and the structured tote they release last year is at the top of my list. It is well made, has a great shoulder drop, and is the perfect size for someone looking for a true carry all. MZ Wallace’s quilted tote, while a bit more casual, is one of the more popular bags in NYC. It is lightweight, easy to clean, and over time, wears in beuatifully. If you aren’t necessarily looking for a tote, I love this ring bag! Another great place to look for a deal on a bag that will really last is The Real Real. This one, this one, and this one all caught my eye, are in great shape, and cost under $200. If you are interested in a stripe or something a little less conservative, I love this blush colorblock tote (that is under $30!) and this stripe tote is cute as well! To add a little more organization to your bag, especially inside an open tote, adding a felt bag liner can be a live saver. Personally, at the under $200 price point, I would rather focus on a top quality bag the cost has gone into the material, make, and construction, versus the interior details. Add a liner after the fact. Plus, it makes it easier to move everything from bag to bag!

Speaking of jumpsuits, this off-the-shoulder stunner may just make its way into my closet!
