I love wearing a novelty suit and adding splashes of color. This shot was taken this past December!
Question: I can only pack a small carry on for my next trip. Do you have any suggestions or tips for packing light?
Answer: When I am truly forced to pack light – and I am NOT a light packer – I have three rules that I stick to. One, I always choose a specific a color scheme. This really helps me mix and match different pieces more easily and re-wear items in new ways throughout the trip. Two, I commit to bringing just two pairs of shoes, the pair I wear for travel and one alternative pair. In most cases (depending on the purpose of the trip) this ends up being a simple and classic pair of flats and a pair of heels. And three, I research ahead of time to check if there is laundry available on site. This way, I never have to overpack washable items!
