THROWBACK //

A head-to-toe red check look from my second trip to Bermuda. The island of Bermuda is simply stunning – and just a short 2 hour flight from NYC!

Question: I am going to the NYC Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic for the first time this year! Any advice on what to wear?

Answer: So exciting! The Veuve Polo Classic is hands down one of my favorite events of the year! You can see what I have worn to a few past Veuve Polo events here, here, here, and here. First things first, you will be doing quite a bit of walking on grass so I would suggest to wear flats or a block heel. If you wear a stiletto style heel you will end up sinking in the grass all day long! There will not be a ton of shade, so when it comes to deciding what to wear, realize that you will be in the sun for a large portion of the event (on that note pack sunscreen), so a hat or sunglasses is critical! If you are in the general admission area, the seating is on blankets, so I would suggest wearing something you can be comfortable in while sitting on the grass. Most people do get quite dressed up, think dresses, skirts, and guys in summer suits or blazers. If you want to take it up a notch, you can go with a fun summer hat or fascinator! I actually haven’t put together my look for this year’s event, but am thinking I will do a fascinator and floral dress!
