WHAT TO WEAR ON THE FOURTH OF JULY //

Fourth of July fashion starts now! With the holiday falling in the middle of the week this year, we have a whole week to celebrate – and play dress up! I’m often asked the question of what to wear on the Fourth of July, so without further delay, see below for some of my newest festive picks. These items can of course all work together, but if you need more inspiration, I’ve included additional styling tips for each piece as well. Wishing everyone a happy and festive holiday!

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten

eleven // twelve // thirteen // fourteen // fifteen

one  //  A one piece, off the shoulder, and stripes? Three of my favorite things! Just add a super wide brim straw hat (under $30!) and my favorite new rattan slides and you are ready for the sun.

two  //  I love the summer pieces from Nordstrom’s 1901 brand and this striped linen dress is not exception. Perfect for a casual backyard bbq with white Birkenstock sandals and a red chandelier earrings to cover all of your red, white, and blues!

three  //  This adorable gingham tote (available in red and blue) matches back to your favorite little white summer sundress.

four  //  I always find a way to wear cat eye shaped sunglasses back to a classic sailor style striped tee.

five  //  This bow tied midi dress is the definition of versatile. Wear it with simple denim blue slides for an Americana look during the day, and switch to a white platform wedge in the evening for just a bit more of a dressed up look!

six  //  A retro button front skirt that can be thrown over a striped one piece and paired with a rope handle stripe beach tote.

seven  //  A Fourth of July statement piece! This gorgeous embroidered dress would look amazing belted with this newest oversized white belt and white bamboo clutch.

eight  //  I adore this knotted polka dot one piece suit and would pair it with a simple chambray shirt and woven pool slides for a vintage inspired look.

nine  //  This wide legged ruffle-trimmed jumpsuit is a stunner – and a total conversation piece. Let the jumpsuit do the talking and pair it back to simple woven accessories and white or red sunnies!

ten  //  For a more unexpected take on Fourth of July fashion, these straight leg pants with striped cuff detailing should do the trick. They would look incredible with Gucci loafer mules in white.

eleven  //  I hate to jinx it, but it’s always a good idea to have a cute rain jacket around – even if just to stay dry out on the water! And you can never go wrong with gingham in the summer!

twelve  //  My love affair with polka dots has no end. For a more fun and casual look pair these platform sneakers back to your go-to sundress.

thirteen  //  I just picked up these rattan slides and can’t wait to style them all summer long with everything from white high-waisted denim to ruffled dresses!

fourteen  //  Pamela Munson is one of my favorites. I already have this straw tote all packed up and ready for the lake house! It goes with practically everything!

fifteen  //  This dramatic striped and zig-zag embroidered midi dress would look even more dramatic with this red pom pom tote bag!
