Talking about TWEED today. I loved the idea of having a small tweed moment in the collection, and when reviewing the tweed fabric options with design, I just knew this was the one. I was initially intrigued with the multi-colored aspect of the fabrication, and fell more in love realizing it is cut back to black and navy and can be worn with just about anything! The white flecks in the material also were also perfect in bringing out the pearl detailing and adornments in the rest of the collection. For extra emotion we added faux fur removable details – both collar and cuffs – on the jacket, and designed a beautiful eyelash fringe detail throughout the dress. To play up the black in the tweed, I paired the jacket back to the polka dot tulle skirt, tweed bow pumps, and solid lurex sweater – all from the collection. The jacket is a great double breasted, cropped shape, with bracelet length sleeves. While most tweed jackets tend to be single breasted or cardigan style, I am loving how modern the double breasted take feels.

Removing the cuffs and collar, the tweed jacket becomes just a bit more of an everyday piece. Here, I wanted to play up the pink hues by wearing it over the pink lurex sweater and adding pink tulle skirt! Keeping it matchy-matchy, I am wearing the adorable mary jane flats in tweed – which are also available in black (seen here) and pink glitter (seen here).
Something a little different for me – girly meets gritty. I bought these combat boots last year and have been struggling with how to style them. But, when this perfectly feminine little tweed dress came along, it felt like the perfect marriage. I paired the short sleeve dress with a yellow faux fur coat to bring out the yellow pastel yarn in the fabric, and love how well balanced the length of the coat feels with the dress. Below, you’ll see all of the tweed options in the collection!
