Okay so I don’t ALWAYS run around town in dresses and frilly skirts. When I need a straightforward outfit, this is it. I call it my ‘run around town’ uniform. As you know (unless you are just now joining the internet) today is BLACK FRIDAY. Nordstrom has some incredible deals, and some of the best bargains are on basics that you will wear for years! It is the perfect time to stock up on the items you are constantly reaching for in your closet or replacing that basic you are always wearing (I replaced my basic leather jacket that was tired with this one).

Black denim leggings to dress up or down. I find black denim to be one of the most versatile pieces in my closet and these are just total perfection!
The travel dress of my dreams. I bought the short sleeve version of this Leith dress last year during the Nordstrom anniversary sale and have worn it again and again (especially while traveling with a utility coat and flats). This season during the sale, I may just have to pick up the long sleeve version.
