Rounding up this year’s most worn and most loved items from my closet and beauty case. These items are the ones that I’ve worn again and again both on and off the blog/social media, and the pieces that I consider to be my best purchases (or gifts) of the year. Without further ado, my favorite pieces of 2018!
Monogrammed phone case // Okay so you KNOW I love a great monogrammed or personalized piece, and this phone case is one of my all-time favorites. They have now expanded the offering and have an array of colors (including clear, leopard and a ton of other fun color combos). Click here to see them all.
Heart shaped sunnies // I feel like each year I fall in love with a new pair of sunglasses. This year it was these heart shaped sunnies that I am positive you’ve seen too many times to count. I purchased them in black but ended up going back for both the red and tortoise as well!
Oxford shoes // These shoes from my collection with Halogen were BY FAR my most worn shoes in 2018. I actually couldn’t help myself and wore them on the blog a handful of times prior to the collection even being announced! They are available in navy, silver, and pink – with the pink being my personal favorite. Shop them on sale here.
Tibi pleated everything // Tibi has a knack for creating an item or two that I simply can’t get enough of. The first Tibi item that I fell in love with was their full faille skirt way back in 2012 – in fact I still own it in 3 colors! This year I couldn’t get enough of their pleated pieces. You can shop the tops here and here and dresses here, here, here and here (on sale).
A clear bag // I bought this clear bag at the beginning of the year, and to be honest, it didn’t get much use. Come summer I started wearing it more and more, loving how I could use it match all of my little accessories to my looks. It ended up being one of my favorite pieces of 2018! It was sold out for some time, but is now back in stock here. I also just bought this clear bag and this one – looks like my collection will continue to grow well into the new year!
Madewell denim // Denim typically isn’t my thing, but when I find a great pair of denim, I can’t resist. Madewell is one of my favorite denim brands and this pair was by far my most worn pair of denim in 2018. With a flattering high waisted rise, the perfect amount of stretch, and a slightly cropped length, these are what my denim dreams are made of.
Rosy pits // Megababe has taken the internet by storm – and for good reason! This natural deodorant is so effective and has the most glorious rose-scented smell. Initially, it had quite a long wait list but you can now snag it here. Give it a try!
ASOS floral dress // Every year I have one ASOS buy that I consider my best. This year it is this ASOS floral dress (seen here). ASOS can be an overwhelming site, but has so many amazing pieces and hidden gems that are worth the time to hunt. Some of my other favorite ASOS finds (which I still own) are this dress (seen here), this dress and this dress – a close second to the one featured for my fave of the year.
Gu_de bag // I love discovering new brands and Gu_de out of South Korea is a fast new favorite find. Launched just two years ago, I find the brand to have amazing quality pieces for the price. While my bag pictured above is unfortunately sold out you, can shop what is still in stock here!
Flawless Filter // Hey, there is my face! 😉 I don’t talk much about beauty too much on the site as I focus more on fashion, but this beauty product totally knocked my socks off. I’ve been a loyal Charlotte Tilbury fan for years and haven’t been disappointed with a single product yet. I use Flawless Filter daily in place of concealer. It gives my face a nice, bright glow and goes on so smoothly. Shop it here.
Striped turtleneck // Another item from my collection that has been on repeat in 2018 is this striped turtleneck sweater. Offered in five colors, we developed this sweater in the softest yarn, and it is my favorite of 2018. I love the more fitted sleeves and neck combined with a looser fitting body. Shop all the colors (including the cutest rainbow combo) here.
Colored tights // The easiest way to add a pop of color to an outfit – without breaking the bank – is with colored tights. I have been slowly growing my collection and trying to capture the full rainbow. Shop colored tights here (on sale), here and here.
Pearl headband // Lele Sadoughi created the perfect pearl headband that has made an appearance in many, many of my posts this year (and many to come next year for sure). Lele and I actually worked together at Tory Burch and I have long admired her ability to create such quirky, yet elegant pieces. Shop her headbands here!
Tulle polka dot skirt // Tulle skirts are kind of my thing and this year I combined forces with Nordstrom to create one of my all-time favorites for my collection with Halogen. This elastic waistband, polka dot mesh, ultra-full skirt is one I will treasure for years to come. I love dressing it up for a night out, but actually tend to wear it more often casually, with sneakers and a tee or striped sweater! Shop it here (and shop this amazing pink ruffle tulle skirt also from the collection here).
