NO. 133 // EYELET LOVE & SARASOTA RECOMMENDATIONS

THROWBACK //

Another reader favorite from this past winter – this gorgeous green eyelet dress! Check out my half yearly update on the site that covers my most popular posts of 2019!

Question: I know you spend a bit of time in the Sarasota/Siesta Key area. What are some of your local food recommendations?

Answer: I usually eat a lot of fresh seafood when I am in the area so I will start there! I love Owen’s Fish Camp with friends/family for drinks and live music out back before dinner. The wait here can be quite long as there is a no reservations policy, so be sure to go on the early side! Walt’s Fish Market is also a classic (it’s been around for over 100 years!) and has some of the best fresh catch in town. For more casual seafood I enjoy The Siesta Key Oyster Bar (S.K.O.B) and Star Fish Company in Cortez, right near the bridge to Bradenton Beach. If seafood isn’t your thing I would recommend Nancy’s for casual bar-b-q and Mediterraneo or Napulè for Italian. For something more modern you could try The Overton downtown for lunch (great outdoor seating), Shore in St. Armands for dinner, and Rudolph’s at The Sarasota Modern Hotel for drinks! For coffee I love Perq in Southside Village (iced flat white!) and The Local Bean on Siesta Key!

While my green dress above is sadly sold out, Cult Gaia has released a similar eyelet maxi silhouette that is available in this pretty spice shade as well as a powder blue and a classic white.
