BEST BUYS OF 2023
I recently did a post on the most shopped products that I posted about this year, and today I wanted to take it a step further and highlight the items that I loved most in 2023! While there is a touch of overlap I am focusing on so many new products, particularly the beauty items that I don’t always get around to chatting about, as well as the tried and true products that you just may be sick of hearing about!
COS Oversized Quilted Bag // This has become my go-to everyday bag. This bag is super spacious, can be worn crossbody or over the shoulder, and is great to travel with! It is now also available in silver here.
Dorsey Jewelry // I decided to add a little bling this year to my jewelry box and picked up this necklace, this bracelet, and this bracelet, and they have all proven to be strong investments. I love layering and mixing and matching them with my more casual jewelry pieces. You can read more about Dorsey here.
Pointy Collar // This fall I bought this $15 collar on a whim to add a *little something* to my cooler weather looks. WOW, did this turn out to be one of my favorite purchases of the year. I’ve worn it dozens of times and am still discovering news ways to style it. See how I have worn it here, here, and here!
Nili Lotan Jacket // I packed this jacket for a trip to Paris and it has quickly become a true closet staple. It is easy to mix and match and I always feel comfortable, yet put together while wearing it. Of course it is now sold out, but I just recently bought the cropped version in the same material and can already tell it is going to be another wardrobe MVP. You can see it styled here and here.
ABC Solid Pomade // My sleek bun is somewhat of a signature at this point (see how I achieve it here) and for years I was using Oribe Star Glow as my finishing step to get the ultra sleek look. Sadly, the product has been discontinued so the hunt was on to find a replacement. Enter Authentic Beauty Brand’s Solid Pomade. This product is amazing at achieving the look I want and lasts for hours and hours! 🙂
AIRE Sunglasses // When I saw these shades at $40 I thought that they just might be too good to be true. I really wanted a more retro non wire frame aviator, but everything I tried was too small for my face. These ended up fitting perfectly and feel like a steal at that price point.
Chanel Vintage Earrings // The Real Real is one of my favorite shopping destinations. It takes a bit of work to browse and dige, but there are so many hidden gems to uncover. I bought these Chanel runway earrings for $500, while they were listed on every other resale site for $1,500 or more. They weren’t in great shape but I was able to clean them up with a polishing cloth and they are now one of my favorite sets of oversized studs!
Kerastase Products // The two main beauty brands that I rely on year after year are Charlotte Tilbury (see my beauty routine here) and Kerastase. While I use lots of different Kerastase products, the blow dry lotion and heat protectant spray are my top two faves, closely followed by this hair oil.
Prada Platforms // I am a high-low girly. When it comes to investment pieces I really try to envision how much I will wear an item prior to purchasing. As we all know, sometimes we have the best of intentions ‘I will wear this all the time’ and it simply doesn’t pan out that way. I was going back and forth and back and forth on these Prada platforms, unsure of how much I would wear them, only for them to become one of the most worn items in my closet. A happy surprise!
Penny Pant // Cropped kick flares are one of my favorite fits and these pants have been an amazing workhorse in my closet. They were key pieces in my collection with Tuckernuck and while I thought I would wear the navy color the most, I’ve found myself reaching for each color equally! Longines Dolce Vita Watch // Longines is my watch brand of choice and while it is hard to choose my favorite model, this Longines watch and this one have to be my two favorites. This style is such an iconically classic piece and I love that the strap can be worn in different ways. This style was a new addition to the brand this fall and I love the smaller square face,
