MY FAVORITE MOISTURIZERS

While I mostly stick to fashion on Atlantic-Pacific, every once in a while I like to dabble in the beauty and hair spaces – note this post and this post. Today I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite face moisturizers. There is no better felling than finding a beauty product you love that consistently holds up over time. Below I am breaking down the three main moisturizers in my skin care rotation.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY MAGIC CREAM

This moisturizer is a total workhorse for me. This is the face cream that I’ve used the longest (over seven years?!) and use the most regularly. I have generally neutral skin with a slightly oily T zone and I do not have any skin allergies or irritations. This cream has been great for me as it’s a thicker face cream that goes on smoothly. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream doesn’t feel heavy or sit on top of my skin once applied. Since I also use addition Charlotte Tilbury makeup products (see my routine here), the different formulas all work so well together! While all the face creams on my list are more on the expensive side, this cream is the most affordable, and you can often snag it on promotion during peak shopping holidays!

CLE DE PEAU PROTECTIVE CREAM

Living in Florida now, I have become MUCH better about wearing daily SPF lotions. This protective cream is lovely, featuring a great smell, nice texture, and not too heavy of a layer. While some would combine this with additional face creams or lotions in the summer months I tend to wear it on its own. It is SPF 50 and lasts up to 10 hours in the sun. I particularly love that Cle De Peau doesn’t leave any white residue and isn’t sticky of heavy. In fact, I am now onto my third tube!

LA PRAIRIE SKIN CAVIAR

The most expensive cream in my line up, but one that is simply not to be missed. This daily moisturizer is so refreshing and one that I would classify in the following way: slightly lighter than the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream but just as hydrating and smooth. The packaging is super luxe, and while the product is expensive, I feel it has been incredibly effective. It is also long lasting – one jar has lasted me 6+ months. I have been using this product intermittently with Magic Cream and it has become my go-to moisturizer at night. I personally can’t do the heavy ‘nighttime’ face creams as they lock in too much moisture in my skin and can cause break outs. I just discovered this incredible formula last year and will be using it for many years to come.
