THROWBACK //

I’m always challenging myself to find new and creative ways to layer. I thought this combo, from November of 2016, was the perfect way to pull off a bow bandeau in the midst of winter!

Question: I am curious as to what products you use in your hair and what you do to achieve those loose curls? I have been following you for some time and your hair has had quite the transformation!

Answer: My natural hair is very fine and quite thin. Add in years and years of blonde highlights and you end up with quite a bit of breakage and not much length! Over the past few years I have attempted to bring my hair back to a healthier place by deep conditioning (I use this one), using heat tools with great low settings (T3 is my fave), and using heat styling products prior to blowdrying (I love this one). Over time, I have gone a bit darker in order to reduce the amount of chemicals in my hair and to add time between salon visits. And lastly, I do often wear extensions (I get mine here). While my hair is far from perfect, I do look back and see how damaged my hair once was from too much blonde, high heat usage, and not enough general care. Hopefully all of this helps! And, if you want to know who takes care of my hair in the salon, I answered that question a few weeks ago here!

LINK LOVE //

I am completely smitten with this poplin smocked top. It’s such an easy piece back to clean denim, slides, and a basket bag (you know, when spring finally comes)!
