Skirt Alert! So, I have always been a bit of a skirt hoarder. While I appreciate a great dress, being a lover of layering, mixing prints and contrasting colors is so much more fun with skirts. Ruffle wrap skirts are one of my go-to summer staples. Breezy, forgiving, and so easy to style and dress up or down. J.Crew released some amazing ones last year (which I still wear again and again) and were featured prominently in some of my favorite posts from 2017. This year, I am rounding up all of my ruffle wrap skirts faves below, including this dark green one that I wore yesterday!
OUTFIT // Dark Green Ruffle skirt: Shopbop. Woven Shoes: St. Agni (also in black). Pom Pom Straw Bag: Anthropologie (now on sale, also love this one on sale). Top: Petersyn (love all their tops!). Sunglasses: Illesteva.
A great black (or dark green), or black and white skirt, is a closet must have. These skirts are uber-cool with a pair of Stan Smiths and a vintage tee, but can also be paired perfectly with a strappy sandal and blouse (see here for an example). Since I am such a lover of one piece bathing suits, oftentimes I will grab a wrap skirt and style it as a cover up. And, this combo is more than cute enough to wear away from the pool as well!
OUTFIT // I wore this blue stripe-on-stripe ensemble last spring in Spain. You can see the full post and outfit details here!
Red, white, and blue is a year-round combination for me (and just in time for the Fourth of July, you can actually see all my favorite red, white & blue looks here), but is obviously perfect for the summer. The above skirts are just begging to be mixed and matched with fun stripes, festive stars prints, and everything in-between!
OUTFIT // After buying a similar skirt from J.Crew, when I saw this over-the-top version, I knew I HAD to have it! I first wore it on a trip to Nantucket (see here) and have also worn it in an outfit post on Atlantic-Pacific in NYC (see here).
Pastel perfection – in solids, floral prints, or plaids! To style ruffle wrap skirts in the most feminine way possible, pair with a white blouse and your favorite straw accessories. These skirts are best with an easy blouse, a bow slide, a boater hat, and a basket bag – it’s basically summer in an outfit!
