SUMMER BEAUTY UPDATE // 10 NEW PRODUCTS TO TRY

My beauty routine is fairly tried and true, but I am slowly opening up and being more adventurous. You can see my daily make up routine here, how I do my hair (plus what products I use) here, and also check out a round up of some of my favorite product from last summer here. I use each season as an excuse to test and experiment with new products, so without further delay, take a look at my summer beauty update and see ten new products to try!

To better understand my skin: I have normal skin with an oily T zone and do not have any allergies or sensitivities to any skin care ingredients. I do not do any professional skin treatments outside of botox.

Drunk Elephant Polypeptide Moisturizer // I have been loving this moisturizer and recently added it to my nighttime routine. I am still committed to this moisturizer during the day, as I feel it combines with my makeup more seamlessly. This Drunk Elephant product is rich and goes on easily, plus I wake up with my skin feeling refreshed!

Drunk Elephant Night Serum // One product category where I haven’t been as loyal is nighttime serums. I have been applying this one in combination with the above moisturizer nightly for the past month and I have noticed that my skin is feeling smoother and more even. So that’s a good start!

Megababe Squeaky Clean Hand Sanitizer // Probably one of the hottest products of 2020…hand sanitizer. I have the small Megababe hand sanitizer bottle for my purse, but just got this larger bottle and pump to keep in the kitchen. It isn’t sticky and is – by far – the best smelling hand sanitizer that I have tried.

Drunk Elephant Antioxidant Face Oil // On days when I go make up free I like to simply apply oil to my skin and go. This one has been fantastic as it is absorbs well into my skin and is perfect for applying after I take a dip in the pool and my skin begins to feel dry and tight.

rastase Blow-Dry Primer // Okay so I still LOVE this Kerastase product, but I started using this blow-dry primer a few months back. This product is more lightweight than the blow dry lotion and is a spray. As you know, I don’t blow dry my hair for very long and I always use heat protectant because my fine hair is so prone to breakage. I have started to use these two products together and have loved the results, and the scent!

Drunk Elephant Broad Spectrum Sunscreen // I will be honest and say that I am not the best about wearing SPF (I know, I know). I have been applying this first thing in the morning and have found it is effective, lightweight, and doesn’t have any odor. I still occasionally use this SPF product, especially when I forget to apply sunscreen prior to my daily make up routine.

Megababe Rosy Pits Deodorant Wipes // Well, it is summer, and I am in Florida at the moment, and that means that I sweat. A LOT. I switched to Rosy Pits a while back and absolutely love it. I don’t typically have to reapply my deodorant in the cooler months, but in the summer heat I have been using these wipes while on the go.

Diptyque Choisya/Orange Blossom Scented Candle // Okay, okay, its not technically a beauty product, but this candle has been on my counter all season and the scent is so heavenly. It is the perfect summer fragrance and it doesn’t hurt that the limited-edition green version matches my decor quite nicely! 🙂

SAIE Glowy Super Gel // If you are unfamiliar, SAIE Beauty is a direct to consumer clean beauty company. They just launched the Glowy Super Gel and if you know me you know that I love nothing more than a great highlighter or illuminator. This product has just the right amount of shine and goes on like a dream.

Drunk Elephant MultiVitamin Eye Cream // Getting older means starting to add more products to your upkeep, errrr I mean routine. I just recently started getting serious about finding the right eye cream. This product has been amazing so far, leaving my skin feeling more firm and giving me the appearance of being more alert and awake!

Disclosure: Drunk Elephant sent me a fun package full of goodies and I am highlighting some of the products that worked the best for me!
